Pukalani Elementary Recipient of $20,000 Verizon Grant

Pukalani Elementary School has been selected to receive the Verizon Innovative Learning Grant to help teachers expand their role in utilizing technology in the classroom. The $20,000 grant was announced today during a meeting with teachers, student leaders and Verizon Hawaiʻi executives.

Through this grant, given by the Verizon Foundation, Pukalani Elementary will create an innovative learning environment powered by mobile technology, empowering students to learn about and pursue careers in the STEM fields of science, technology, engineering and math.

The Verizon Innovative Learning Grant is one of two grants being dispersed to Hawaiʻi elementary schools this week.
